WE’RE BACK!
In partnership with Believe Limited and the Cystinosis Research Network, Amgen is excited to bring back the third annual, one-of-a-kind, spoken-word self-advocacy workshop for young people living with cystinosis, ages 13-22, taking place in Chicago, IL this June. The two-day workshop will focus on empowering cystinosis community members to use their own words, performed publicly, to tell the world about their journey, showcase the therapeutic and healing elements of the creative arts, build community, and teach the importance of self-advocacy, ultimately culminating in a final performance.
IMPACT
This community experience will feature:
Written and spoken word technique education
Theatrical and performance training
Relaxation meditation & breathing exercises
A final performance in front of friends and family
And so much more!

*Transportation to and from Chicago, lodging, and food for you and a chaperone will be provided.
WHO CAN APPLY
Any person in the US living with cystinosis ages 13-22. An interest in theater, performance, poetry, writing, the creative arts, advocacy, or connecting with like-minded individuals within the greater cystinosis community is recommended, but no experience is required. Spaces are limited.
